Mains Power Connectors - Standard

Standard mains power connectors are used in order to connect a piece of equipment to the AC (alternating current) mains power supply feeding the building or site in which it is located. As such, the category of standard mains power connectors includes products such as plugs and sockets. The plug connects to the item of equipment in question, whilst the socket is typically installed in a wall. Other countries, such as Japan, use mains power connectors that are designed to connect to other current standards, such as NEMA.
