Although Keysight was only established as a separate company in 2014, it can trace its roots right back to 1937 when Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard formed Hewlett Packard and manufactured the company's first audio oscillator. In 1999, HP split into two companies, one focusing on computers while the other, Agilent Technologies, focused on electronic measurement equipment. Subsequently, in 2014, Agilent Technologies split its business and created Keysight, which is responsible for the design and manufacture of an enormous range of hi-tech measuring equipment, power supplies and signal generators. As would be expected, Keysight's manufacturing systems conform to the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System, and in addition, the company has ISO/IEC 17025 Calibration Accreditation. The company also complies with the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. The company manufactures a comprehensive range of laboratory power supplies, with outputs between 50 watts and 15 kilowatts. Both AC and DC power sources are available, while many models are programmable and offer multichannel output. Keysight also manufactures numerous waveform generators, along with frequency counters and timers. The oscilloscope range includes handheld, portable and multichannel bench models. Additionally, Keysight has a full range of handheld and bench multimeters and AC clamp meters.
